Over the last few months, there has been a radical increase in news headlines about climate activists gluing themselves to the roads, blocking roads, splashing paint on buildings, and so on.
I'm dumbfounded. I'm confused.
What do they plan to achieve by blocking highways and causing traffic jams? What do they plan to achieve by defacing art and spraypainting buildings? What do they plan to achieve by gluing their own hands to the roads?
If they have a problem with the wealthy, or the large conglomerates, they should attack them directly. If they have a problem with their favorite politicians or political parties, they should attack them directly.
Blocking highways and disrupting traffic will not earn them any popularity. Attacking the common man for the crimes of the wealthy is stupid. The general population just want to go about their lives. They've got enough problems to worry about. They've got work to do, bills to pay, families to take care of. They don't have time to sit around in traffic because some idiot glued their hands to the road.
If you've got a lot of free time on your hands, and nothing better to do, but join public protests, go for the root cause. Stop wasting time on the streets and making a fool of yourselves. You're making a joke of climate change. You look like clowns, you aren't gaining any favorability, and people hate you.
The ultrawealthy, the politicians, and the president are the people who have to change things around. If you truly care about climate change, you'd tell the idiot in office to step down, and let some young intelligent person lead the nation towards a better future.
